Premier Women:Semi Finals
Weather can be a great leavler and so was the case between the University Women and the Waitaki Wahine at Logan Park yesterday. In a tight clash it was University that was victorious 19 – 12.
I couldn’t help but think that it seemed a shame that two of the top four Women’s teams in Otago had to play their semi final on a muddy and rain socked pitch at Logan Park. I found myself wondering at the time, how did the women’s game got the short straw of the muddiest deck to play on?
