Strong winds dictated play at Watson Park in Port Chalmers this afternoon as southwesterly winds blasted up the harbour, creating extremely challenging conditions for the top of the table clash.
After being down 8 – 7 at halftime, Harbour came back in the second half to register a 24 – 18 win. The victory leaves Harbour on top of the table with Green Island now sitting in third place on 40 points, having been over taken by Taieri who are now in second place after their 22 – 0 victory Dunedin.
In other games, University defeated Alhambra-Union 48-5 at University Oval while Kaikorai overcame Southern 17-11 at Bishopscourt.
