Cropping

The tape, the boots and the beer.

One image, two different crops for you to see. I thought I’d show you today how cropping can change an image. Really, all the cropping should be done in camera however in sports photography that’s rarely possible.  The image below is from a club match here in Dunedin yesterday. The second image is a tight crop of the player winning the lineout where as the first has a lot of unused place around the image. Which one you like comes down to personal preference and what you’re using the image for but it does show you how cropping an completely change an image.
