Game Day.
A week after going top of the table, Green Island went down to University at Logan Park this afternoon. Despite the loss, in wet and slippery conditions, Green Island retained the competition lead with University climbing into the top four. The rain came in during the first half and made life tricky for everyone but it was the University forward pack that stood up and forced Green Island into errors that proved costly for the Green Island side. In other results Taieri defeated Southern, Alhambra Union won at home over Zingari Richmond and Harbour bounced back after last weeks loss to defeat Dunedin.
